The manufacturing world is in the middle of a rapid worldwide transformation.

Planetary urgencies, new production needs and constantly changing standards are just a few of the factors that are driving industry to a new augmented dimension: a 4.0 factory in which internal relations between human beings, means of production and spaces need to be reshaped.

This was the starting point for an ambitious project developed by Calibro Zero for CIM 4.0, an Italian centre of excellence for the realisation and promotion of educational and open innovation programmes to assist national enterprises in their transition towards Industry 4.0. This piece of interior design work focused on a Pilot Line dedicated to Additive Manufacturing enabling the competence centre to support enterprises keen to test the potentialities of this avant- garde technology. The main aim of the intervention was to offer employees and visitors clarity and transparency, while maintaining the project’s coordinated image.

The naming and directions were inserted beside the operating boxes, while the arrow element, the graphic mark characteristic of CIM4, was used to emphasise and harmonise visit itineraries and signposting, thus giving the brand greater visibility.
