The project arose from need of four Italy and Netherland based artists, who share common background in computer technology, electronics, music, art and design, to group together within an organization with a unique name and a strong identity. Omnivors! is dedicated at designing and developing interactive installations, sculptures, videos, musical instruments and any sort of artistic work that relies on electronics and digital technologies.
The branding concept originated from the necessity to express the energy, the power and the disruptive nature of technological innovations. The logomark thus emulates a deconstruction of the traditional artistic and design approaches, based on a square grid, and it adopts a formal distortion that expresses the sense of movement. The same concept is also represented by the exclamation mark, which indeed characterized both the logo and the claim: “we eat everything!”. Indeed, the exclamation mark has been then completely redrawn in order to create a texture and other brand elements.
